This is a center conducted at the red light area of Tollygunge in South Kolkata where regular health check up camps for the sex workers and their children are carried on by the specialist doctors. We are indeed obliged to have support of Indian Medical Association Calcutta Chapter who provides doctors on all Sunday where at the initiative of the local women these camps are help not only for heath check up but also for remedial action including assistance for treatment and awareness programs.

The first annual meet of Atmamarjada was held at Tollygunge on 30th June, 2004 where the members from the sex workers' community of Tollygunge area actively participated in the meet. Amongst the dignitaries, Smt. Shyamali Gupta, the eminent social worker and secretary KSCRI, Mr. Sudhangsu Seal, Member of Parliament and many others met the members and interacted amongst themselves. The two hour meet primarily fucussed on the health and education of the sex workers & their children.
