As a part of women empowerment, 33% reservation has been retained at the Village Panchayet level. In West Bengal, this reservation has been working during last three Panchayet election term. Our organization wanted to make an extensive survey on the outfit of the reservation and working viability of the women Panchayet members. We have been carrying on work shop at Bankura district at all the three level of the Village Panchayet to see the outcome of this vulnerable government
policy for women empowerment. We are thankful to the District administration for assisting us providing logistics. Our team is stationed at Bankura and this is a continuous process to monitor the work process of the women members of the Panchayet. This is a database which can be of use to multi pronged activities.
Tribal Health Project under RCH II of Government of West Bengal
Under the supervision of Government of West Bengal, Office of the Chief Medical Officer of Health and in collaboration with Directorate of Health Services, State Family Welfare Bureau, we are arranging a project immunization of  mother and child up to 5 years at a tribal area of Bankura district, now in two blocks of Raipur and Sarenga. In our preliminary survey, it has been detected that there are good as 18 villages in Sarenga and 29 villages in Raipur  where such immunization program are highly required and we have arranged doctors, nurses and other support staffs together with medicines and other necessities for carrying out such immunization program in the respective villages once a month. We have tried to organize these camps regularly so that we can make this immunization program successful and effective.

Research Study on migration of women and girls and its connection with trafficking
In collaboration with National Commission of Women, Delhi, KSCRI has been running this project of research study in six different districts of West Bengal. These six blocks are Hingalgunge and Deganga of 24 Parganas North, Kakdweep and Budge Budge II of 24 Parganas South, Naxalbari and Matigara of Darjeeling, Phulbani and Debagram of Jalpaiguri.

Our field investigators with the support of the local panchayet and administration are carrying out extensive survey on the local families, general people, especially on women/girls to find the cause behind the migration as well as trafficking of girls and women of their localities. The field investigators have been trying their level best to find out the girls/women who were once trafficked or migrated and subsequently recovered or returned back to their families and questioned them to find out the socio economic reasons behind trafficking and migration. They tried to identify the group or people  who play the major role behind these heinous act of the society.

KSCRI have just completed the first part of the research work and submitted the report. We have a plan to propose some major steps in our final report which will help to track these migration and trafficking in the days to come.
