This
is another project for self employment of the poor women. Certain
ladies find some leisure time leaving apart their house hold work.
They can spare some time for their livelihood. A little training
on a lesser skilled activities could yield them an earning which
would be of great help to them and their families. Keeping this
in mind, started a course on Soft Toy and Doll Making. We have associated
ourselves with Jodhpur Community Polytechnic, an institution of
South Kolkata that imparts training to the females as self help
group project. The |
| first
batch of 50 females have completed this course and are finding themselves
in a position to earn out of the Soft Toys and Dolls they are making.
To start with, raw materials are being given to these candidates
and the finished products are being sold by the community to a large
extent. |
